What is the working principle of titanium alloy self-locking nuts?
Self-locking nuts generally rely on friction. The principle is to press the embossed teeth into the preset holes of the metal plate. Generally, the aperture of the square preset hole is slightly smaller than that of the rivet nut, and the nut is connected to the locking mechanism. When the nut is tightened, the locking mechanism locks the ruler body, and the ruler frame cannot move freely, achieving the purpose of locking. When the nut is loosened, the locking mechanism is separated from the ruler body, and the ruler frame moves along the ruler body.

The double-ear floating self-locking nut specified in GJB125.1~125.6-86 consists of four parts: sealing cover, self-locking nut, pressure ring, and sealing ring.
It has a compact structure and reliable sealing. It is suitable for products with working pressure not more than 22 atm, working medium of gasoline, kerosene, water, or air, and working temperature of -50~100℃. However, the manufacturing process and air tightness test are difficult.

High-strength self-locking nuts
It is a classification of self-locking nuts with high strength and high reliability. Under the premise of introducing European technology, it is mainly used for road construction machinery, mining machinery, vibration machinery, and equipment. It is suitable for products with a working pressure not exceeding 2 atmospheres, a working medium of gasoline, kerosene, water, or air, and a working temperature of -50~100℃. However, the manufacturing process and air tightness test are more difficult.

Spring self-locking nut
The spring self-locking nut consists of an S-shaped spring clip and a self-locking nut. The S-shaped spring clip is provided with a clamping hole for clamping the self-locking nut, a transition hole for the bolt to pass through, and a guide hole for guiding the bolt. The self-locking nut is placed between the clamping hole and the transition hole and clamped in the clamping hole.
The spring self-locking nut is fixed to the connecting plate or bracket by the elastic force of the spring clip. The spring clip is both an assembly carrier for the self-locking nut and an assembly tool for assembling the self-locking nut. This structure is not only easy to install but also has good reliability after installation.

SPIRALOCK nut
There is a 30-degree wedge-shaped bevel at the bottom of the internal thread. When the bolt and the nut are tightened, the tip of the bolt is tightly pressed into the wedge-shaped bevel of the screw thread, thereby generating a large locking force.
Due to the change in the tooth profile angle, the normal force generated by the contact between the threads is at a 60-degree angle to the bolt axis, instead of a 30-degree angle like ordinary threads. Obviously, the normal pressure of Spiporock thread is much greater than the tightening pressure, so the anti-loosening friction force generated is also greatly increased. At the same time, when the outer thread crown is engaged with the internal thread of Spiporock, the tip of the crown is easy to deform so that the load is evenly distributed over the entire length of the contact spiral line, avoiding the phenomenon that more than 80% of the total load is concentrated on the first and second thread surfaces when ordinary standard threads are engaged. Therefore, Spiporock threaded coupling pairs can not only overcome the disadvantages of ordinary standard coupling pairs that are easy to loosen under vibration conditions but also extend their service life.
